Released in 2025 on Third Man Records, Raspberry Moon is the third studio album from Hotline TNT and marks a new chapter for the band led by Will Anderson. While the earlier records were largely built around his one-man-band vision, Raspberry Moon was recorded as a full band, bringing Anderson’s guitars together with Lucky Hunter, Haylen Trammel on bass and Mike Ralston on drums.
The sound stays true to Hotline TNT’s obsession with walls of distorted guitars, shoegaze and noise pop, but here everything feels clearer, more melodic and more organic. Produced by Amos Pitsch, the album has a warm, almost tactile quality, leaving plenty of room for explosive fuzz as well as the kind of instantly memorable pop melodies that stay with you.
Tracks such as “Was I Wrong?”, “Julia’s War,” “Letter To Heaven,” “Candle” and “Where U Been?” blend romance, melancholy and anxiety into a sound that can be both loud and vulnerable at the same time. It’s the kind of record where guitars can suddenly become a towering wall of sound, only to give way moments later to a surprisingly warm melody.
With 11 tracks and running at around 35 minutes, Raspberry Moon is a compact, energetic record that strikes a perfect balance between shoegaze, alternative rock and power pop. A great pick for anyone who loves huge guitars, unforgettable melodies and that perfect collision of euphoria and melancholy.
