Khotin’s Finds You Well is a quietly expansive electronic record, built from the kind of details that reveal themselves slowly: soft-focus synths, dusty drum machines, warped samples and melodic fragments that seem to hover between memory and machinery. Rather than chasing a single club sound, Khotin lets house, ambient, electro and leftfield electronics overlap naturally, giving the album a loose, dreamlike character without ever losing its rhythmic pulse.

There’s a strong sense of movement throughout Finds You Well, but it’s rarely about arriving somewhere obvious. Tracks drift, mutate and occasionally snap into focus, balancing warmth with a slightly uncanny digital sheen. Khotin’s production has a tactile quality — imperfect textures and subtle shifts do as much work as the melodies — making the record feel intimate despite its spacious, often futuristic palette.

Released in 2017, Finds You Well sits comfortably within the Canadian producer’s distinctive approach to electronic music: understated, playful and deeply attentive to atmosphere.
