Whether they’re creating ground-breaking extreme metal, crafting pretty folk tracks or constructing complex prog rock, there’s no denying that Opeth are one of the most interesting groups in rock and progressive music.

‘In Cauda Venenum’ breaks tradition as it’s the first Opeth album to be sung entirely in Swedish. Frontman and founding member Mikael Åkerfeldt wrote the record whilst taking a break following the ‘Sorceress’ album cycle and tour, opting for the unrestrained songwriting featured on early albums like ‘Morningrise’ and ‘Blackwater Park’.
