TFCF (an acronym for Theme From Crying Fountain) is the eighth studio album by Liars. Following the amicable departure of Aaron Hemphill, the album serves as an intimate, autobiographical solo project for Angus Andrew, who relocated to a remote area of the Australian bush to write and record.Trading the bustling, urban backdrops of Los Angeles and Berlin for the isolation of the Australian wilderness, TFCF boldly pushes the Liars paradigm in a new direction. The record beautifully blurs the lines between organic acoustic elements, glitchy electronic textures, experimental soundscapes, and addictive pop sensibilities.
