Orleans-based band, blending funk, R&B, and soul with a raw, rhythmic edge and unmistakable Southern groove. Standout tracks include "Just Kissed My Baby," "People Say," and "It Ain’t No Use," which showcase the band’s tight musicianship, syncopated rhythms, and Leo Nocentelli’s gritty guitar work. The combination of George Porter Jr.'s bass, Zigaboo Modeliste's drums, Art Neville's keys, and Nocentelli’s guitar created a deep, infectious pocket that would heavily influence funk, hip-hop, and rock for decades. Rejuvenation is widely regarded as one of the greatest funk albums of all time and a definitive statement from one of the genre’s most influential bands.
